Thawing

Thaw fish in the refrigerator for quality and food safety.

Pinbone Removal

Because our fish are filleted pre-rigor, the pinbones cannot be removed until after the fish is thawed. You can pull them out after thawing, after cooking or while you are eating. Use your finger to gently feel for the pinbones along the lateral line as shown by the green line in the picture below. Kitchen tweezers work best for pulling them.
